Course Overview
TDI Advanced Nitrox expands a diver's gas knowledge beyond basic nitrox and is one of the foundation courses for technical diving. TDI states that the course qualifies divers to use enriched air nitrox from EAN 21 through 100 percent, within their current certification level, to a maximum depth of 40 metres/130 feet on dives that do not require staged decompression. The course connects oxygen management, gas planning, equipment considerations, and in-water discipline.
This course is aimed at certified nitrox divers who want to understand higher oxygen mixtures, strengthen their in-water skills, or move toward technical, SCR, or CCR training. TDI lists a minimum age of 18, or 15 with parental consent, TDI Nitrox Diver or equivalent certification, and proof of 25 logged open water dives as prerequisites.
