Trimix II Diver Training

NAUI Trimix II Diver is an advanced technical course for Trimix I certified divers who want to plan dives beyond 60 meters or 200 feet using more complex mixed-gas strategies. The official NAUI page describes training for dives utilizing helium-based trimix, hypoxic trimix, helium-based and EANx-based travel gases, and EANx and oxygen during decompression. This is expedition-level planning compared with the first trimix step, with much greater emphasis on gas logistics, decompression exposure, and contingency control.

This course is for experienced trimix divers, not divers merely curious about depth. NAUI lists Trimix I Diver or equivalent as the prerequisite, requires at least 100 logged dives with at least 20 decompression dives, and requires six dives after Trimix I or equivalent certification. The minimum age is 18 by the water phase. Students should already be consistent with technical equipment, deep mixed-gas planning, team protocols, gas switches, and staged decompression.

Training normally includes academic planning, hypoxic gas procedures, travel-gas management, staged decompression, and open-water technical dives.
