Expedition Trimix CCR Training
IANTD Expedition Trimix CCR Diver training is the highest-level rebreather trimix progression represented in the IANTD Spain Rebreather Expedition Trimix Diver page. The program is designed for open-circuit or rebreather divers already involved in deep diving who need safer procedures for exploration dives requiring extended decompression profiles and helium-based gas mixtures. On CCR, the course demands mature planning around unit reliability, bailout logistics, decompression exposure, and the reality that exploration-level depths leave little tolerance for casual decisions.
This course is for proven rebreather trimix divers. IANTD lists Rebreather Trimix Diver or higher as the prerequisite, a minimum age requirement, and extensive experience including many rebreather dives, rebreather trimix dives, and a large total dive history. A candidate should already be self-directed, conservative, precise with CCR operation, and capable of managing complex dives without needing basic technical concepts repeated.
Training includes academic sessions, confined-water work, and open-water dives with emergency scenarios.
